Teredo shakes his shoulders as he prepares to leap on the human standing in front of him. He's never seen a human before. He doesn't know what to expect from this one, but he dare not risk it. He lost his brother to one. His brother...the only other nightfurry he knew. He was shot out of the sky many months ago. He still has nightmares about it. Then he notices something different about this creature standing before him--he has no weapon. He's deffensless. Teredo sits up and stares at the human, examining him more carefully. Then it reaches out its hand very slowly. Teredo leaps up and hides himself behind a tree. The human boy follows him with his hand still outsreached. He doesn't appear to be harmful...then again, neither did the one that took out his brother. He decides to let the human walk closer to him, and stays still as he sits in front of him. He looks deep into the eyes of the boy, seeing no harsh intentions of harm hidden inside them. When the boy reaches out his hand again, this time, Teredo doesn't pull back. The boy sets his hand calmly on his head. He speaks, and Teredo listens. "It's alright. I won't hurt you. Come with me, I'll show you your brother." Teredo hear's the word brother and knows that this boy is being honest. He wouldn't be that unintellegent to confuse him with another dragon breed. He follows him when the boy gets up and they reach a large village. Teredo is scared when he sees all the large people staring at him. Some in awe, some interest, and some looking on as though it's something they see every day. Then, there's a sound from up ahead. A large, black blur jumps over the boy's head and lands square on Teredo's shoulders. He rolls over, trying to fling his enemy off, but his foe clings tighter. Then licks him on the cheek. Teredo is confused, then stops fighting back and sits up to see his attacker more clearly. The dragon staring back at him looks like his reflection, only with large, green eyes. He meets their gaze and recognizes it from when he was younger--no, from just a year ago. It's his brother. He leaps for joy and circles the dragon and they exchange growls of delight. After his small celebration, Teredo looks back at the boy. He smiles. Teredo feels bad for doubting him, and walks over to him with his head lowered. He wants to stay here with him and his brother, where he feels safe and at home. The boy reaches his hand out to once again stroke his head, and speaks. "Welcome to Burk."
